Located downstairs. Elevator access available. The concept of the Care Room is to allow better privacy for personal health services such as foot and nail care, and to create a relaxing inviting space for health counseling and minor assessments for referrals.
FOOT CARE PROGRAM
The ECOA has offered Foot Care to clients for over 20 years and we offer trained professional care with medical specialty backgrounds.
Any senior who needs foot care may make appointments for the 2nd and 4th Wednesday each month. We can not accomodate walk ins.
We have an AMAZING group of highly qualified Foot Care Nurses with specialized training offering services here. They work on a variety of foot issues including checking shoe fit, treating toe fungus, calluses and more.
Give us a call at 413-527-6151 and we can set an appointment here with professionals. Do you like your favorite slippers? Once you’ve tried comfort treatment with Foot Care by Nurses you won’t want anything else! Appointments generally run 30 minutes. (45 minutes for a new client.)
Home visits available by appointment as schedule allows for an extra fee to Easthampton homebound clients over age 60.
New Clients have a one time extra $15.00 limb assessment fee in order to follow legal health guidelines.
Cost: Easthampton resident = $35.00
Non-Residents = $45.00

Our Tranquility Room is open for many different activities.
Personal Meditation, Meditation Classes, Massage, Reflexology, Crystal Bowl Music, Reader's Theatre, General Meetings, Reiki Energy Work, and so much more.
MEDICAL LOAN CLOSET
The Senior Center has a variety of medical equipment for loan to Easthampton residents. ALL Equipment is donated to the center and we have a rotating inventory. Medical equipment can include walkers, wheelchairs, tub or shower seats, canes, depends, bed rails and more. If you are in need of medical equipment we ask that you call us in advance at 527-6151 so we can have your item ready if it is our inventory. We don't always have the time to have your item available for immediate/same day pick up. There is no charge for this service.
(We no longer need donations of canes, toliet seats, or crutches. Please call if you wish to donate wheel chairs in GOOD condition or seated walkers only)
DEPENDS AND UNDERGARMENTS MAY BE AVAILABLE
The Senior Center often have donated supplies of both men’s and women’s depends, pads and other undergarments available for free. Please call 413-527-6151 in advance to let us know what you are looking for. We will then check our supply and call you back.
TAI CHI WITH LEN BURLINGAME
Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese discipline of meditative movements practiced as a system of exercises.
Learn to balance, stretch, and RELAX with Len. He has over 27 years of instructional experience with a GREAT method.

HEALTHY BONES & BALANCE PROGRAM
Mondays at session #1 at 9:45-10:50; session #2- 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 for one hour with instructor: Glafyra Ennis-Yentsch (Gliffy)
The Healthy Bones and Balance Exercise Program is designed to prevent or slow the development of osteoporosis and other bone diseases. The class consists of a seated resistance training, using hand weights, ankle weights (optional) and balls, to increase muscle and bone strength, mobility, flexibility and brain health.
Specific standing exercises to improve balance and reduce the risk of falls are done at each class. The class leader, Gliffy is a trained HBB volunteer, and shares information about components of a healthy lifestyle and helpful tips on how to incorporate fitness into daily lives.
Have fun getting fit with like-minded 55+ class participants. Class participants have improved or maintained their physical health and have been able to avoid falls or broken bones. This is an opportunity to improve your strength and balance.

ZUMBA GOLD CLASSES
Tuesday and Thursday nights 5:00pm. $5.00 walk-in pp
Zumba Gold is based on the same dance moves used in the original Zumba class. The Gold class however, is less intense with dance routines designed for beginners and older adults who have limited capabilities. The class consists of a series of easy-to-follow dance moves. Have fun, burn fat, lose weight, low impact and great music. Zumba Gold Classes at the Easthampton Council on Aging Enrichment Center, 19 Union Street, Easthampton. Cost per class: $5.00.
OPEN HOURS: M-W-F 8am-4pm / Tues. & Thurs. 8am-7pm / Sat. 9am-12
The Fitness Center offers Easthampton, Southampton and Westhampton residents, 55 years of age and older with the opportunity to work out on the following commercial grade equipment: 2 treadmills, 2 elliptical cross trainers, 2 recumbent steppers, semi-recumbent cycle, windjammer (upper body), cardio strider, water rower and free weights (from 1 lb to 25 lbs).
***Registration and medical clearance forms are required in order to join the Fitness Center.***
Forms are available online ( see below) or can be picked up at the here at the Senior Center.
Annual fitness membership fee is $75.00 for Easthampton residents and $115.00 for out-of-town residents. Membership expires one year from the date paid. If you experience a major health issue which prevents you from using your membership, we need a doctor's note in order for you to return and use the equipment.
