No Show Policy: When a requested/ booked ride is cancelled within one hour of a scheduled pickup or not cancelled at all, the client is considered a" no show". Failure to notify the ECOA may result in a small fee. After an individual acquires THREE (3) no shows within a one year period, he/she may be suspended from using the van for up to three (3) months.

Leaving Passengers Unattended on the Van: Van passengers CAN NOT  be left alone on the van for any reason. The ECOA Van driver's responsibility is to pick up and drop off passengers. Van drivers cannot assist you with banking errands, picking up medications, shopping or other errands, which would require the van driver to leave the van unattended. Drivers can not assist in getting packages into your home. Drivers may opt to NOT pick up clients in bad weather if  when the van arrives at their residence, sidewalks or dirveways are unsafe or uncleared of snow  or ice.
Driver/Trip Itinerary: Trip itinerary shall be developed  and advertised in the ECOA newsletter in an effort to better coordinate van trip activities and to educate passengers on time factor and trip schedule. The van driver will discuss the itinerary PRIOR to the departure of passengers from the van.

ATTENTION VAN PASSENGERS*
The Easthampton Council on Aging will be closely monitoring those passengers that consistently cancel their ride/rides at the last minute, especially shopping trips & special van trips.
Passengers who continue to cancel their reservation may be required to pay for that van ride.
We are turning away other passengers who need to go shopping and scheduling an extra driver to accommodate the schedule.
