PVTA Travel Training

PVTA offers free, one-on-one Travel Training for seniors and people with mobility impairments who are motivated to learn how to safely and independently use the public bus system. Trainers will personally show you how to get from your house to a selected destination and back, or how to use a fixed-route bus system. Sessions are primarily field-based and are conducted in a series of steps leading to independent travel. Trainees select their destinations which typically include: work, medical appointments, schools, shopping malls, and other recreation sites. An instructor will stay with you until you feel comfortable and confident riding the bus.
